The Jubilee Year of Hope officially began in the Diocese of Gaylord on January 4, 2025 at St. Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Cathedral in Gaylord at 5 PM. In addition to this scheduled liturgy, Bishop Walsh has designated three pilgrimage sites in the Diocese of Gaylord where pilgrims can make a pious visit and can receive the special Jubilee Year indulgence.
A plenary (full) indulgence when visiting a Pilgrim Site can be received if certain conditions are met:

One must receive a sacramental confession that includes a detachment from sin,

Receive the Holy Eucharist

Pray for the Supreme Pontiff’s intentions on the same day one receives the Holy Eucharist.
All 3 conditions must be performed within several days to receive the plenary indulgence.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion in the Green Bay, WI area with Bishop Walsh!
The Diocese of Gaylord is organizing a group travel bus to Our Lady of Champion, including the Walk to Mary on May 3, 2025.
